We are looking for an Assistant Finance Analyst to join our Channels Finance Team to provide financial assistance to the Finance Analyst and Financial Controller Digital Channels for Digital Channels costings and month-end analysis.

The main purpose of the role is to provide financial assistance to the Finance Analyst and Financial Controller Digital Channels for Digital Channels costings and month-end analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

ITV Digital Channels costings – Responsible for costing the Digital channels grids on a monthly basis and for forecast and budget. Provide supporting analysis and reconciliations to show how costings have changed since last version and how they compare to budget / forecast. Proficient in excel and powerpoint.
Monthly NPB variance analysis – complete monthly and ad hoc analysis of digital channels programme budget (NPB) as required by Finance Analyst, Financial Controller and Head of Digital Channels.
Costing meetings – arrange and lead initial costing meetings with Digital Channel schedulers.
Film tracker and expiry reports – maintain and update reports for discussion with Digital Channel schedulers.
Genre forms – review and submit genre forms for approval on programme spend <£250k.
Cash flow management – update and maintain cash flow schedules for Digital Channels spend.
Attend monthly Channel Board meetings
Development schedule – maintain the development schedule and assist with development budget queries when necessary.
Half Year and Year end – liaison with auditors for interim, half and year end sample testing and audit control tests.
Digital Channels overheads – review overheads at month end to ensure all costs are correctly accounted for.
Complete monthly ROI reports.
Other ad hoc work as necessary.

Ideal Candidate:

Newly or part qualified accountant or accounting/commercial analysis experience

A high level of numeracy and someone who is comfortable dealing with large amounts of data
A real attention to detail and a commitment to deliver a high level of accuracy
An ability to communicate financial details to both financial and non-financial colleagues
Ability to work in accounting and contents rights systems, plus high level excel skills
Ability to deliver to tight-deadlines and to respond in a timely basis to ad hoc requests
A team-player ready to get on with things, but someone prepared to own their own work and deliver on regular basis to specific deadlines
Demonstrable experience in a finance or commercial analysis role
Media experience helpful but not essential
