Job Description


We have an excellent opportunity to join the Firearms and Explosives Licensing team.
As the Firearms Licensing Administrative & Enquiry Officer you will be responsible for the assessing and scrutiny of Firearms Licensing applications, this will include the interrogation of PNC (Police National Computer), PND (Police National Database), Northumbria Police internal computerised systems and social media sites. Knowledge of these systems would be advantageous.
You will also be responsible for visiting applicants and certificate holders at their home addresses to interview them and inspect the security.
You will be part of a multi skilled team.
You should possess good communication and organisation skills.
You need to possess a full UK driving licence.

Vetting level: Recruitment Vetting (RV)
Applicants must be a resident of the UK for a minimum period of 3 years to ensure vetting checks can be successfully performed.
