Applications are invited for a University Lectureship in Photonic Devices and Systems. The successful candidate will join the Electrical Engineering Division to add to its expertise in Photonic Engineering. Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. in Engineering or a related discipline and ideally with post-doctoral experience. The candidate will perform research that addresses the challenges of next generation III-V semiconductor and polymer based photonic devices and systems. It is anticipated that this research will have potential for collaboration with colleagues in the fields of RF systems, photonic and wireless networks and optical physics.
The Lectureship will be within the Centre for Photonic Systems, part of the Photonic and Quantum Technologies Research Theme in the Electrical Engineering Division in the Engineering Department. The successful applicant will be expected to develop a strong externally funded, globally recognized research program and to participate in the teaching mission of the Electrical Engineering Division as well as the wider Engineering Department.
