Good IT and communication skills would also be an asset.
The role holder will undertake training and provide, increasingly over the period of the apprenticeship, support for The Sainsbury Laboratory Facilities team. As the apprenticeship progresses, the role holder is expected to work with increasing independence and to undertake tasks using their own knowledge and experience, diagnosing and rectifying straightforward problems (e.g. failure of luminaires) with minimal guidance. During the apprenticeship the role holder will contribute to one of the laboratory’s key support functions, developing relationships with internal staff, members of other departments within the University and external service providers.
