This is an exciting opportunity to work within a rapidly growing and established Care Home Group, offering support to the finance team and broader business from the Accounts Payable team based in Woking, Surrey. The Role will directly report into Accounts Payable Manager, with occasional reporting to Internal Accountants and Group F.D.
o Prepare Aged Creditors analysis periodically with explanations of outstanding queries & invoices not yet presented for payment.
o Regular timely processing of supplier and Staff expense payments in line with Cash Flow.
o Process high volume invoices in an accurate and timely manner.
o Reconciliation and allocation of Direct Debits and Standing Orders to Supplier Invoices/Accounts.
o Prepare and maintain accounts payable records and reports in Sage Accounts.
o Maintain all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and accounts payable files.
o Batch code invoices & expenses correctly with correct VAT Coding.
o Assist with Group VAT Returns & other statutory reporting.
o Reconcile Intercompany accounts periodically.
o Ad hoc reporting tasks from AP Manager & Accountants.
o Assist to centralise accounts payable functions in Head office.
Person Specification & Skills
o Part Qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA, AAT, IAB
o Bachelors or master’s in accounting & finance
o Knowledge of basic accounting principles
o Good organisational skills and ability to work precisely under pressure in a fast-paced environment
o MS Office
