Business Development Manager (X3) IT Infrastructure inc NetApp and VMWare and Cloud IT Sales

Manchester, North West. To suit Candidate based in Manchester, Liverpool, Cheshire, Lancashire, Staffordshire or West Yorkshire. Part Home based with Post Covid UK travel.

£40,000 – £65,000 pa depending on experience + Bens + Car + Realistic OTE £90-150K Uncapped. Top rates of commission. Great benefits package.

Fast paced and well-established IT solutions organisation specialising in Data Storage (NetApp), Virtualisation (VMWare), Cloud and Managed Services requires 3 new IT Sales Business Development Managers with solution selling experience in the IT / technology sector. Based in the North West but working across the UK, this position is likely to be of interest to an ambitious sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly growing company.

The ability to nurture relationships and negotiate with senior representatives is essential, as is the ability to communicate complex engagements on both a technical and strategic business level. My client has invested heavily in both the sales & marketing department this will assist in lead generation and even provide qualified leads to match your own creation.

The Role:

Identify and generate new prospects and convert them into key accounts

Deliver sales growth across both managed cloud services and solutions business: identify, create, campaign and close IT solution sales opportunities within the customer base

Effectively build, manage and maintain long-term customer relationships at the highest level (both new and existing accounts), to serve as a trusted adviser

Generate new business by means of using existing industry network, prospecting and customer networks, in conjunction with marketing activities

Continually update and develop product and market knowledge

Have a structured and methodical approach to understanding a customer’s requirements/problems

Identify and generate new prospects and convert them into key accounts

Required Skills and Experience:

A minimum of 3 or minimum of 5 years’ experience within the managed services industry and/or IT solutions sales selling (salary grade to match) At least some experience with San NetApp and VMWare sales is preferred

A proven IT sales track record, ideally in high-end products and solutions

A natural ability to build customer rapport

Self-motivation and ambition allied to good time management skills

Experience of working at senior levels within a company

A proven ability to develop and close business opportunities

Excellent communication skills, (oral and written)

Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships

Proven ability to achieve financial and personal targets

A positive and enthusiastic approach
