an opportunity to join Almond House as a CAMHS Nurse.

About the Role:

We are looking to appoint a CAMHS Nurse with experience working with looked-after children and ideally experience in residential care or in-patient CAMHS. The role will include providing a highly specialist mental health service to young people with Emotional and Behavioural difficulties within a bespoke brand new Children’s home.

Salary: £25,000-£33,000 DOE

Your responsibilities will include providing a therapeutic service for the children in our care to guide further assessment and prioritise intervention needs and meeting these needs. You will be involved in direct therapeutic work with the children and work alongside other clinical and residential staff to update and manage care plans in conjunction with senior staff.

You will work directly with the children in our care providing a highly specialist therapeutic service.

You will provide regular therapeutic consultation and guidance to staff working for Almond Care Children’s Services, as well as provide teaching and training to staff around attachment, trauma, and mental health issues. This will depend on your experience.

You will actively contribute to care plans in order to provide co-ordinated psychological care for the children in our care.

Successful applicants will need:

Highly developed communication skills (both verbally and written), with the ability to communicate highly complex, sensitive information to children, families, and other professionals

Experience with children, young people, and their families

NMC Registration

Skills and experience in complex psychological assessment, intervention, and management
