Job Description

This position will be based at GCU London and includes an additional payment of £4,270 London Weighting Allowance per annum

GCU London is the London-based postgraduate campus of Glasgow Caledonian University. GCU London is now looking to appoint an additional full time Administrative Assistant to work as part of an effective campus Professional Services team. The role holder will assist the Campus Co-ordinator with administrative elements associated with GCU London’s programmes and registry functions, playing a key role in the delivery of an excellent student experience.

The role holder will provide support to assist with the effective management of programmes and the enhancement of student experience at GCU London. In relation to the former, this will involve providing support for Progression and Awards Boards and Programme Boards and assisting with the organisation and administration of local examinations, graduation and registration. In relation to the latter, this will include being a main point of contact for both students and staff, providing advice and information, for example, relating to student registration, student timetables, attendance monitoring, etc.

The successful candidate will have relevant administrative experience in academic registry/student services, ideally have experience in a student facing role and will demonstrate strong service delivery experience. The ability to exercise initiative and show a high degree of responsibility is a prerequisite of the role. The Campus Administrative Assistant will be an excellent communicator and will be highly organised
