Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated science graduate to join the NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (H&I) Service Development Laboratory located at the Colindale Centre, London.

You will join a dynamic team and contribute to projects aimed at the development and implementation of new diagnostic tests in HLA, immunogenetics and transplantation, using the latest genomic technologies. Other responsibilities include supporting laboratory activities such as sample archiving and retrieval, preparation of reagents and maintenance of equipment.

Applicants should possess a relevant science degree, e.g. molecular biology, human genetics or equivalent. Experience of working in a Research & Development environment and a good working knowledge of DNA based assays such as PCR or sequencing would be beneficial.

The normal working hours for this role are 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

This role will attract a 15% Outer London High Cost Area Supplement of £3,784 pa – £4,822 pa.
