Day-to-day duties will include:
Diagnosing and repairing faults
Stripping engine components
Skimming cylinder heads
Machining engine valves and valve seat inserts
Requirements and prospects
Basic knowledge of engineering
Good communication skills
Good work ethic
GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) in maths and English.
Full time employment for successful candidate.
Things to consider
Can be physical, and hard work, being active all day.
Candidate must be able to travel to the workplace daily (Warrington) and St Helens College STEM Campus (St Helens, WA9 1TT) one day per week.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
