We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to join our Human Resources team who are based in Birmingham city centre.

The role

The HR Manager role is a great opportunity for the right candidate to enjoy a varied and interesting role.

You will manage, develop and lead a team of 7-8 staff delivering a professional HR service to approximately 600 employees.

Reporting into the Head of HR Operations this role is key to ensuring effective and efficient, day to day generalist, operational and transactional HR delivery.

Through your team you will be accountable for delivering the following HR services to deliver an efficient, effective value add service to our internal customers. HR administration, HR systems support, payroll, employee relations (ER) casework (first and second line as well as more complex issues) as well as projects e.g. pay review.

About you

With previous successful experience of operating as a generalist HR Manager, in an organisation of a similar scale and complexity, you will have excellent people management skills and possess wide-ranging operational HR expertise to support delivery of business plans.

You will be able to successfully manage an efficient operational HR function, driving value, continuous improvement and excellent customer service through the team and third-party suppliers.

With deep and broad experience across a variety of HR specialisms you will have particularly strong generalist and ER experience and be able to assimilate large amounts of information (pay, policies, processes etc) quickly.

We are looking for someone with a hands-on approach and the ability to remain calm, adapt and respond to shifting priorities in line with business needs. With a natural pragmatic and collaborative style, you will be comfortable using an agile approach, able to prioritise and communicate effectively.

When it comes to managing third party suppliers, we are particularly interested in people who have managed outsourced services such as payroll, benefits and projects such as HR systems implementation.

What’s in it for you

Showcase your people management skills! This is a diverse role where you will have opportunity to manage, develop and support your team.

Where you spot opportunities for continuous improvement, we are keen to embrace best practise and improved efficiency to deliver a class service to our customer base.

This role is based at the Cube in Birmingham. Most of your customers will be based here so you will benefit from co-location most of the time.
