Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Work with AGT Architects and the Global Engineering and Architecture team to design secure network solutions and patterns.
  • Develop, deploy, and support Cloud network infrastructure as code artifacts or modules
  • Install and maintain (upgrade/patch underlying infrastructure)
  • Design and support resiliency and scalability using AWS, Azure and other cloud platforms
  • Support and deliver using continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines
  • Enable systems with automated monitoring and alerting
  • Support the team and customers with day-to-day requests, and change/incident tickets
  • Support technology stack refresh on systems (end-to-end) when required
  • Ensure automated security is built into each technology stack
  • Understand and respond to emerging requirements and ambiguous technology decisions
  • Troubleshoot cloud services when problems arise
  • Plan for future cloud infrastructure capacity requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree, or equivalent education/experience
  • Relevant work experience including three years supporting enterprise-level platform installations which should include:
  • Experience with agile development and planning methodologies
  • Experience in performance monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting in an enterprise
  • Holistic understanding of the network layer as it relates to private cloud networking
  • Ability to give and receive feedback as part of a cohesive agile team
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change, and continuous learning mindset
  • Customer focused
  • Decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to mentor others
  • Self-motivated with ability to work remotely

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications (AWS, Azure)
  • Background with high level of focus on secure service availability, including automated alerting and automated response
  • Knowledge of Palo Alto Networks VM Series appliances, Aviatrix multi-cloud networking and GBP network configuration
  • Technical qualifications

1. Working knowledge of Functions, Centralized logging and Event-based detection and automation, private cloud networking capabilities [i.e., Peering, Transit Gateway, VPN, Subnets, Route Tables, etc.]

2. Working knowledge of IAM, Federated access to Private Cloud

3. Python Programmer with bonus knowledge of AWS Lambda; AWS Step Functions or Azure Functions using event-driven automation

4. Experience working with Azure/AWS APIs, including API security, and Cloud Formation, Terraform and PowerShell knowledge

5. Support of the Cloud Network from an operational perspective Cross training other network engineers on cloud technology

6. Holistic understanding of the internet and hosting from the network layer up through the application layer

7. Experience in a 24×7 hosting environment

8. Proven understanding of TCP/IP, Subnetting, DNS, DHCP, NAT and routing

9. Proven knowledge of network protocols

10. Proven knowledge ofIP routing

11. Proven knowledge of BGP, MPLS, VPN, and other technologies for establishing network connectivity.
