Job Description

This role will be within our busy Logistics and Customer Support team and is involved in multiple elements of the customer journey. We are looking for individuals who have demonstratable previous experience in Logistics/ Supply Chain/ Procurement or Customer Service, in a fast-paced and rapidly growing business. Adaptability and being able to think on your feet is crucial in this role.

Main aspects of the role:
• Raise sales orders on SAP, ensuring the highest levels or accuracy are maintained
• Produce pick slip and invoice documentation to allow warehouse operatives to pick stock
orders. Proactively monitoring warehouse operative performance against agree turn-
around times.
• Arrange and coordinate in-bound deliveries from original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to
either our warehouse for stock, or directly to a customer
• Monitor lead times from OEMs to ensure compliance with turn-around times, proactively
chasing delivery if delayed
• Proactively chase any documentation (such as export licences, COA, COC etc)
• Through the Chamber of Commerce system, obtain proof of origin, commercialised invoice
and COA in line with customer requirements
• Effectively solve any issues that arise with supplier/customer/forwarders/packing company,
in a timely manner and ensuring that the relevant parties are informed of the progress
• Obtain quotations for sea, land or air freight as required for customer orders and negotiate
the best pricing with forwarders
• Process letter of credit orders in line with the company procedure, including adherence to
contract terms and ensuring the highest level of accuracy
• Work effectively with the wider business and provide any information needed in regard to
order management or historical sales data
• Respond to customer queries and assist with any requests they may have, logging any
non-conformities/ complaints through the Quality process
• Creating order status reports and providing them to customers as requested or in line with
scheduled reporting
• Keeping monthly record of issues with shipments, such as damage/delays/quantity
discrepancies and passing to the Logistics and Customer Support Manager.

• Degree or relevant qualification in Business Management, Logistics or Supply Chain
Management (Desirable)
• As a minimum, GCSEs in Maths and English at level 4 or C grade (or functional skills level
2/ equivalent qualification)
• Customer Service qualifications (Desirable)

• Previous experience of preparing logistics plans to support all operational requirements of a
• Experience of reporting on a timely and accurate basis to both externally and internally
• Previous experience in supply chain or procurement
• Evidence of handling difficult conversations and investigating concerns
• Experience of working within a customer focussed role in a fast-paced business
• Evidence of dealing with contract requirements efficiently and effectively
• Demonstratable strong analytical skills
• Letter of Credit (Desirable)

• Ability to develop and maintain clear record keeping systems in line with purchasing system
• Ability to adhere to and maintain the highest levels of confidentiality
• Keen attention to detail, maintaining high levels of accuracy
