Job Description

We are always looking for enterprising and innovative approaches to the way we provide our services. We are a national centre for telemedicine and introduced telehealth to the UK offender healthcare sector and also provide the service to patients in their care homes. Community matters to us and we are supported by 400 dedicated volunteers and have strong links with Bradford University, Craven College and Leeds City College to ensure we inspire the workforce of the future.

We want to attract staff who embrace our ‘Right Care’ behaviours of compassion, a commitment to quality of care and working together for patients – we want to make these part of our DNA.

Our award winning hospital is positioned at the gateway to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales affording the opportunity to live and work in a stunning part of the country with good schools and easy access to the larger towns of Bradford, Harrogate and the City of Leeds.

This is an exciting post which combines a clinical role in a friendly and high-performing specialty.

The post is full time and ideally aimed at doctors with UK experience at middle grade level or equivalent.

The post is a fixed term contract for 12 months. The post is full-time but applicants wishing to work less than full-time will be considered.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Specialty Doctor to join our Obstetrics & Gynecology department.

Prospective candidates are encouraged to visit the Trust and meet members of the clinical and management teams. Appointments can be made for a visit at any point prior to the date of interview.

The successful candidate will be attending major inpatient operating lists to enhance/develop their surgical skills in abdominal and vaginal open surgery. The other duties of the post include covering labour ward, gynaecology and antenatal care clinics and day case surgery. The Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department has a broad range of training opportunities and the successful candidate will be offered the opportunity of continuing professional development.

We are committed to equal opportunities and welcome applications from all sections of the community, regardless of any protected characteristics. Reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled applicants where required.

We welcome applicants with lived experience of providing unpaid care and/or support to a family member or friend with a disability, health condition, frailty, mental health problem, addiction or other health and care needs.
