At Cisco Meraki, our Network Support Engineer Interns act as key players on the Support Team! You will troubleshoot networking issues that cover the entire Meraki product line, including our wireless access points, security appliances, switches, and Systems Manager application, just like our full-time engineers. With a steep learning curve and a fun, challenging work environment, our interns come out of this program with a deeper understanding of networking, stronger problem-solving skills, and a mastery of customer support that will carry with them for the rest of their careers. This is a Summer 2019, 3 month internship role in our London office.


Diagnose and troubleshoot wireless, security, switching, and Systems Manager (MDM) issues reported by Cisco Meraki customers and partners
Own each networking issue through the process from initial creation to resolution
Collaborate with other Support Team members to fix network outages, misconfigurations, and complex networking issues of customers’ devices
Reproductions/validation of critical issues in our lab environment
Read and analyze packet captures using Wireshark
Other various activities, including attending lunch and learns, lab management, one-on-one weekly manager meetings, and meeting other teams to learn more about various departments within Cisco Meraki
Assist and or take ownership of a project or piece of documentation relevant to Support.

Coursework and education path relevant to following network technologies: firewalls, content filters, routing/switching, VLANS, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wireless networks
Strong comprehension of fundamental networking protocols, including TCP, STP, ARP, Ethernet, OSPF, etc.
Experience supporting or testing LANs, VLANs, WLANs, VPNs, NAT devices, Network Services (DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, etc)
Outstanding written and verbal customer service and communication skills
Ability to work within a team environment
Excellent account management, follow-through, and attention to detail
Experience in computer networking related problem solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting in coursework and/or work experience
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Working towards a B.S. in Networking and Systems Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline from a top-tier university
Network certifications a plus: CCENT, CCNA, etc.
