Job Description

Our Internship Placement Programme is an opportunity for UK and International students to undertake work experience during or after their studies at University. Applicants must be currently studying towards or recently completed their degree (within the last two years). We are looking for an Intern to join our team for a period of 6 months from July 2019.

We want you to get the most out of your time at Bentley and when you start you will sit down with your placement manager and discuss your objectives – both business and personal. You will then have a set of deliverables, which will really challenge and stretch you, so at the end of the internship you will have developed professionally and personally.

Extraordinary Team

Our PKO Engineering team is at the heart of the business.

Reporting to our Technical Manager, your Main Objectives and Responsibilities will be as follows:

Cost optimisation through all development phases
Organisation and support of cross-functional workshops
Support on- and off-site teardown events
Benchmarking support and realisation
Familiarisation with competitor analysis tools and provide training and guidance in using them Creation of motor show guides

We know that everyone and every role is important in our ongoing success. We are looking for an extraordinary person who is studying for or have completed a degree in a related subject within the last 2 years and are on target to achieve or achieved a 2:1 or above.

We understand that you may have limited work experience but you should have well-developed problem solving and analytical skills, possess good interpersonal skills, initiative and the enthusiasm to achieve. Quality in our business is top priority and we need individuals who can demonstrate a high focus on quality and a right first time attitude.

Skills and experience required:

Interested in gaining knowledge of the automotive industry
High operational readiness/conscientious work
Ability to integrate into a team and develop specific task scopes
Very good MS Office skills (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
English and German Language to an advanced level preferred
Experience in Volkswagen Group are appreciated
Internship period: 6 Months

Specific technical knowledge or qualifications required:

Studying comparatives such as Mechanical Engineering, Business and Engineering or Business Administration (at least in semester 5 with 90CP)

Salary: The salary for this role is based on the UK national minimum wage rate.
