Job Description

We’re currently looking for a Placement Project Manager who’s brilliant to work with to join our team on a 12 month fixed term basis. We have two roles available, one based in Manchester and the other in Birmingham. In your application, please let us know your location preference.

As a Placement Project Manager you’ll work with with Project Services Manager to develop and deliver the division strategic objects and associated turnover targets.

Job purpose:

Deliver small to medium scale projects unassisted, including full project management and supplier side contract administration duties
Ensure all projects are delivered to the right cost and quality meeting the client’s programme
Work alongside other managers and external contractors where required to resource and deliver projects
Ensure right first time delivery whilst achieving best value for all projects
Provide coordinated tender returns for refurbishment and fit-out projects in line with client specification
Efficiently procure goods and services for a variety of projects
Ensure technical standards and statutory compliance for the projects are delivered
Undertake valuations and manage cost variances during the construction stage and undertaking final accounts

What you’ll be doing:

Working with in-house teams and external contractors to ensure successful project delivery
Ensuring all works are procured in line with the achieving best value
Prepare cost estimates for projects coordinating various trades/suppliers/contractors
Benchmarking analysis of supplier prices
Preparation of tender returns and reporting, management of driving value and completing contract documentation as required
Obtaining competitive pricing from the supply chain/sub-contractors
Agreeing and certifying valuations
Managing Project budgets and reporting of cost variances
Agreement of final accounts
Developing and managing internal and external supplier relationships
Assisting managers in preparing reports/documents in line with business requirements
