£36,028 – £39,056 per annum
Duties and Responsibilities
A research fellow is sought to perform and evaluate gene editing using CRISPR and TALEN technologies experiments, to produce AAV or LV vectors and test their activity in primary and immortalized cell lines, assess qualitative and quantitative transduction analysis, perform functional studies by using the techniques including immunostaining, western blotting, ELISA, flow cytometry, fluorescent microscopy, and next generation sequencing.
Duration of this post is available for 12 months in the first instance.
Key Requirements
The successful candidate will hold MSc/PhD in a subject relevant to molecular/cell biology, immunology or cellular therapies. The candidate will have experience in laboratory work in cell biology and/or molecular biology with experience in cell culture, TALEN and CRISPR technologies, experience with primary cells, CD34+ haematopoietic stem cells, T-cells culture, editing and transduction and experience with flow cytometry, nucleofection and fluorescence microscopy. 
Experience with NGS technologies and with LM-PCR/LAM-PCR techniques is desirable.
