Job Description

The Company

With over a hundred years of heritage, Manchester United is one of the all-time greats in the world of football. Over the decades, we have built on our strong football tradition which has enabled us to go from strength to strength. Whilst we have topped numerous competitions, our fan base has grown globally with over 659 million fans across the world from Hong Kong to Havana and from Singapore to South Africa.

The Ticketing & Membership Services department plays a major role in supporting the business to achieve Club revenue targets coupled with our vision to deliver world-class performance to our supporters both on and off the pitch. We are continually investing in our own in-house Contact Centre to service our Season Ticket holders, Official Members and match ticket purchasers in both an outbound and inbound capacity.

As a Casual Contact Centre Advisor your main responsibilities will include selling tickets, season tickets, memberships, museum and tours, car parking and concerts. Accurately processing Home and Away match applications and dealing with general enquiries. You will primarily be dealing with customers on inbound and outbound calls from within our purpose-built Contact Centre.

Located within the grounds of Old Trafford the Contact Centre is open 364 days a year. Our standard opening hours cover 8:00am to 8:00pm, Monday to Friday and 9:00am to 5:00pm on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Please note: we will always schedule shifts around the availability you provide us with and are fully flexible on the shifts/number of hours worked e.g. whether that be for 4 hour/ 7 hour shift morning or evening etc. Hours are initially for over the Summer months, however there is potential for further hours into next season also.

What we’re looking for

Successful candidates will need to demonstrate a track record of achieving sales in a target-driven environment, along with a passion for delivering excellent Customer Service. Although full training on our ticketing and telephony applications will be provided, previous Contact Centre sales experience would be highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, a professional telephone manner and the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships are also clearly essential.
