Job Description

The PhD student is expected to spend 90% of his/her time at City, University of London and 10% at Smiths Detection with joint supervision from the University and from the industry. The main responsibilities of the student are to explore both physical and chemical methods of generating low and reliable concentrations of vapours for priority target compounds and concentrations, that are required for accurate calibration of high-sensitive explosive detectors and for determination of detection limits.
