Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust (TSDFT) are delighted to announce a vacancy for a new Level 2 Customer Service Apprentice in General Surgery, Urology & Gastroenterology. The successful applicant for this new apprenticeship role will undertake an 18-month apprenticeship which will include full training and mentoring from fully qualified staff.

What do we offer?
A great level of support and development throughout the apprenticeship programme which includes 1:1 mentoring from an experienced team member within the department. Support from a dedicated college training officer, support from your departmental manager and the apprenticeship team.
You will learn on the job as well as undertake a full educational programme, which includes study days at South Devon College, or via an on-line platform and 20% off the job protected study time. The Apprenticeship qualification will culminate in an end point assessment for which you will be fully prepared.
The successful applicant will complete our Trust Induction which will provide you with knowledge and information about working within our Trust.

Apprenticeships are developmental/educational opportunities. Academic course work is undertaken alongside of ‘hands on’ business work.
Apprenticeship qualifications include mandatory units and optional units. Mandatory units are undertaken by all those on an apprenticeship pathway, optional units are designed around job roles.
The Apprenticeship is 18 months in duration and towards the latter part of the Apprenticeship, learners undertake the End Point Assessment. This can be made up from tasks such as tests or discussions around the portfolio you have created whilst in your Apprenticeship role.
Apprentices are graded, and can expect to achieve either: Pass, Merit or Distinction for their qualification.
