Director of Performance and Improvement – NHS England and NHS Improvement, Midlands Region

 

An exceptional opportunity has arisen to join the NHS England and NHS Improvement Midlands Leadership Team as Director of Performance and Improvement. Reporting to the Regional Director this pivotal role is accountable for leading teams that support systems to deliver improved quality, productivity and performance and for ensuring a highly effective working relationship with National Directors and stakeholders. The successful candidate will have extensive experience of delivering successful outcomes across systems and within organisations, demonstrating leadership and communication skills of the highest calibre. The post holder will be the regional lead for emergency response and will currently be the COVID 19 Incident Director.

 

Candidates will have significant experience at Board level and feel confident to engage with credibility with local NHS leaders and National Directors. As well as understanding the NHS well, they will have proven experience of supporting both provider and commissioning organisations..
