Your role in the team

We have year-in-industry placement opportunities starting in summer 2021 for the best IT undergraduates in a range of cutting-edge technology areas such as:

 

Development

XP

Mobile

Security

Machine Learning/ Artificial Intelligence

Infrastructure

Production Support

Testing

Data

 

So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

 

  • Must be a UK/RoI/EU citizen or possess a current UK visa and eligible to take up full time, permanent employment. EU candidates must also demonstrate they are eligible to take up UK employment post-Brexit.
  • Expected to complete second year of a relevant IT related degree course by end June 2021 (or third year for relevant IT degrees).
  • Candidates must be currently sitting on a 2.1 average to date or a Commendation, if completing a master’s degree.
  • Applicants must provide a full list of module marks from their first year, and any current year to date, at application stage. Failure to do so will result in the withdrawal of the application.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Availability to travel to the US if required.

Placement Students who successfully complete their one-year placement with Allstate Northern Ireland may be made conditional offers of permanent employment with Allstate at the end of their placement. These positions will commence post-graduation and will be subject to the student securing a minimum 2.1 classification in their IT degree or a Commendation in their Master’s Degree.
