Summary – In support of the Quality Manager, to embed a culture of quality improvement throughout the organisation. To ensure requirements of AS9100, industry & customer specifications are met pragmatically.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Adherence to, maintenance and improvement of quality systems compliant to AS9100
  • Manage customer complaint and returns
  • Manage the company non-conformance databases
  • The QPulse QMS must be embedded into the daily work routines of employees via
    training, coaching and excellent man-management
  • Timely containment and resolution of non-conformance, both internal and cus- tomer/supplier based, via a team-based approach to Root Cause Analysis and resolu- tion
  • Lead problem solving activities utilizing industry standard methodologies: 8D’s, 5 why’s, 3C, DMAIC, Ishikawa fish bone diagrams, FMEA’s
  • Conduct internal audits and support/lead with customer, ISO and NADCAP audits
  • Develop procedures in line with customer, ISO and NADCAP expectations
  • Use of QPulse QMS to encompass non-conformance and RCCA, analysis, audit and
    technical reporting
  • Timely production of accurate KPI’s
  • Control, monitoring and reporting of rework
  • Identification of staff capability, training needs and any other requirements
  • Technical support to the organization

Person Specification

  • Relevant background, preferably qualified to HND or degree level, or equivalent experience
  • Organised, practical, logical in work approach
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent drawing interpretation skills
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in an Engineering or Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment, experience of working within a quality-critical environment is essential.
  • Experience of aerospace quality standards is strongly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of lean principles
  • In depth knowledge of regulated industry standards, such as AS9100, ISO 9001 or
    TS16949
  • Experience of NADCAP audits
  • Knowledge of six sigma
