About the Job
Elevation’s Engineering & Manufacturing division are working with a well established manufacturer in its industry in the appointment of a Plant Manager. This person will consider themselves to be innovative and forward thinking.
Working closely with the board, this role operates at a senior level and plays a pivotal part in overseeing operations and engineering with full P&L responsibility; delivering across all areas of performance improvements and customer commitments.
This is a small but rapidly growing business operating in highly regulated sectors.
The Plant Managers duties and responsibilities include:
-Lead the site operations teams, providing motivation and support across all areas including change management with clear objectives outlined
-Develop and encourage a culture of continuous improvement throughout, with a focus on both site efficiency and productivity demonstrating an innovate approach to improvements overall
-Review and develop processes with the site managers allowing them to contribute to the strategic objectives outlined for the business
-Implement performance objectives and goals for teams to meet on a weekly basis
-Manage all site functions and its SMT to include Finance, HR, Procurement, Operations etc.
The successful candidate will have the following skills & experience:
-Educated to Degree Standard in either Operations; Engineering or Business Management
-Experience working in a highly regulated sector, Aerospace, Medical or Automotive preferred
-Technical knowledge of assembly / mechanical build
-Experienced Senior Plant / Operations / Managerial Capacity overseeing a team of 60 +
-Proven skills in full P&L Management; Planning and budgeting; Change and Culture Management
-Skilled in improving safety performance and managing people effectively
