Job Description

Are you looking to work for a global leading FMCG manufacturer based near Pontefract?

Would you like to supervisor a large maintenance team?

Our client is looking for Engineering professionals to join their site and provide effective supervision of their maintenance team to ensure work is carried out to the highest levels and with the best interest of their staff, customers and the business.

Shift Pattern – Monday – Friday 6am-2pm/ 2pm-10pm

We are looking for people to be proactive in the following areas:

* Supervision of Maintenance Engineers on shift
* Responsible for maintenance activities on site through effective planned preventive maintenance routines and timely response to unplanned breakdowns
* Support overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) by proactively working to improve plant reliability and availability
* Manage permit to works, any administrative tasks and oversee all contractors on site
* Manage and control the procurement and inventory of maintenance spares, parts and equipment
* Manage and control the procurement of specialist maintenance services
* Ensure that all statutory fixed-interval maintenance and inspection requirements are carried out

We are looking to speak with candidates that have the following experience:

* Engineering Supervisor experience in a FMCG or Packaging manufacturer
* Apprentice trained mechanical engineer with NVQ in mechanical engineering
* High level of safety awareness and a good understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act and other attendant regulations
* Good communication skills – both written and verbal
* Good problem-solving skills, ability to lead and manage a team in a fast paced working environment
